REiki 靈氣

Two hands holding a pink flower

Reiki is a hands-on energy healing tradition that grew out of Japanese culture and spirituality. This gentle technique promotes relaxation and a sense of wellbeing. Many clients report improvement in sleep as well as shifts in their physical and emotional health.

The word Reiki 靈氣 is made up of two characters: rei 靈, meaning “spirit” or “intelligence,” and ki 氣 which is the same as the Chinese word “Qi.” A Reiki practitioner serves as a conduit for this “spiritual Qi,” allowing the energy to pass through them and to their client.

Rowan received their Reiki 1 and 2 training from Sensei Marie Kyoko Morohoshi in June of 2023. These trainings focused heavily on the Shugendō, Shinto, Taoist, and Buddhist roots of Reiki via the Usui Reiki Ryōhō lineage.

What to Expect

Two hands resting gently on a knee

A practitioner will gently place their hands on or around a client’s body as the client sits or lays on the treatment table. This treatment is performed while fully clothed, and clients can request an additional sheet or blanket. Clients may experience a deep sense of calm, warmness, tingling, or moments of emotional or embodied release.
